WHAT IS REIKI?
Broadly speaking, Reiki is a form of ‘complementary therapy.’ If you want to know more, here’s a link to look up ‘Reiki’ on Google.
WHAT IS THE REIKI EXPERIMENT?
The Reiki Experiment is a site where you can ask for ‘distant healing.’ To make a request, go to the Request a healing page (or just leave a request on this page) and leave a comment on one of the posts, e.g. ‘Please send me some healing’. You can specify a place, date, and/or time for the healing to start, otherwise the healing will begin when you submit your comment. You can submit requests on behalf of others if they’re happy for you to do so. You can submit as many requests as you like, as often as you like.
WHY ‘EXPERIMENT’?
Many people are unsure about whether ‘Reiki’ exists, what it is, and/or how it feels to receive a healing. This site is a way for people to ‘experiment’ with Reiki.

Reiki is the name given to a system of natural healing which evolved in Japan from the experience and dedication of Dr Mikao Usui (d. 1926). Fired by a burning question, Dr Usui was inspired to develop this healing system from ancient teachings after many years of study, research and meditation. He spent the rest of his life practising and teaching Reiki. Today Reiki continues to be taught by Reiki Masters who have trained in the tradition passed down from Master to student.

I would really love to be able to receive Reiki. From what I have read, if it is real, and if it does work…then it is well needed in my life. I worry without knowing it and my shoulders tighten up really bad. I use to know someone who has relocated almost 4 years ago. we spent about 3 years with me procrasting about a relationship. Janice – unfortuantely Reiki healing is not a magic cure all, some people seem to react to it better than others and some people seem to experience little or no benefit from it at all. I will keep sending you Reiki and hopefully this, or something else, will help (you to) improve your circumstances.

I have heard many good things about this site so i decided to try it out for myself as I have been finding the past couple of weeks hard to get through. I am a single mother stuggling to get through each day. I also have many health problems including diabetes, cholesterol, depression, anxiety, aches and pains (knees, head, neck, back, & feet). I also wish to ask for healing for other members of my family. My mother whom is waiting for a kidney transplant (her body is starting to fail). My sister who is in a stressful situation her son was born with a heart defect. My father has high blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol, and a high risk for inheriting of cancer.

betty – Reiki is not specifically related to Jesus, however who knows what connections there are on the ‘other side’ / in the universe – it has been said that Reiki healing involves the disembodied spirits of ancient healing masters, so who knows??

I have recently suffered a trauma after seeing my son maliciously hit. My 8 year old son Gabriel suffered a spine fracture. I would like to request healing reiki for my brother-in-law John Risdon (Ottawa, Ontario, Canada). Four years ago John was diagnosed with colon cancer which had spread to his liver. Through chemo, visualization, prayers (reiki and angel) John was victorious in his battle and became a cancer survivor. He was clear for two years. He just received word today from his last cat-scan that there is a nodule on his liver.

I just wanna ask for someone to heal my little brother.. Hes only 6 years old and just had major surgery on both legs. He has never been able to walk and this is his only chance. Now that he is totally immobile in his wheel chair though, he is depressed and says he doesnt want the chance to walk.. Help him please..
